The Santa Barbara Museum of Contemporary Art and COMMA — Community Organizing Multidisciplinary Mentorship through the Arts — invite you to Open Mic Night: a free, monthly gathering space for young poets, singers, storytellers, musicians, and creatives of all kinds to share their work, build community, and practice their craft in one of Santa Barbara's most dynamic cultural spaces.
Held on the 2nd and last Saturday of every month from 4–6 PM, this open mic is designed to do what contemporary art has always done — challenge the way we see the world, ourselves, and each other. The last Saturday of each month includes Spanish translation, honoring the full breadth of our community's voices.
This series is rooted in a shared belief between MCASB and COMMA: that art is most powerful when it belongs to everyone. Not just those who have been given a platform — but those who have been waiting for one. Open Mic Night is that platform. It is free to attend, free to perform, and open to all.
Starting October 10, 2026 | 4PM–6PM
At the Santa Barbara Museum of Contemporary Art | 653 Paseo Nuevo, Santa Barbara
Hosted by Ademola & Tayllor Oyewole-Davis
